Chromeni Steels Private Limited
Chromeni Steels Private Limited is an integrated stainless steel greenfield project which is slated to be one of the biggest joint ventures between international and Indian steel giants in the country. The plant has a production capacity of 4 million metric tons per annum and will specialise in the production and export of stainless steel billets, hot rolled coils and cold rolled coils.
The plant, which is under construction, is based on 500 acres of land in Mundra, Kutch. The ground breaking ceremony was graced by the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Vijay Rupani. Considering its proximity to the port, we believe Suncity will be able to reduce the costs of import and export drastically, thereby giving our customers monetary benefits.
Reports indicate that post-construction, Chromeni Steels Private Limited will become the biggest steel manufacturer and exporter in the Indian subcontinent.
Tsingshan Holding Group
Established in 1992 in China, the Tsingshan Holding Group specialises in the production of hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils, stainless steel billets, plates and ingots which are extensively used in the petrochemical, construction, automobile, aerospace and shipbuilding industries. The Tsingshan Group has recently set up a new plant in Indonesia with a capacity of 4 million metric tons per annum. The total capacity of the Tsingshan Group is 10 million metric tons per annum. It is the biggest producer of stainless steel coils in the world today.
In January 2017, the Group signed an MoU with the Gujarat government at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit to set up and register Chromeni Steels Private Limited, in collaboration with the Suncity Group. The newly formed group is currently set to make an investment of 10,000 Crore Rupees in the project.
